Digital library Kramerius
Kramerius is the most widely used open-source system for presenting and managing digitized collections, used by most libraries in the Czech Republic. It offers users intuitive browsing of digitized books, newspapers, maps and other documents, the ability to leaf through historical editions, and advanced search, including full-text search of the content.
Continuous development and the integration of artificial intelligence bring new possibilities, such as semantic search based on the meaning of text, searching for similar images and documents, automatic translations, text-to-speech and article summarization.
At Trinera, we have long been involved in the development of Kramerius — from designing new features and development to integrating artificial intelligence, which takes working with data to a whole new level.
Today, the system provides access to more than 400,000 titles and serves hundreds of thousands of users every month. In addition to intuitive browsing of books, newspapers, maps and music, it also offers automatic translations, reading aloud and content summarization.
Our goal is not just to write code — we help libraries truly bring their collections to life. Kramerius is proof of what a meaningful connection of technology, data and cultural heritage can look like.
