Technology changes faster than budgets and tenders. We will help you decide what makes sense to implement, validate it before you invest, and take care of operations even after handover.
What institutions come to us with
- You are considering a new system or using AI and need an independent second opinion.
- You have an idea, but are not sure it is worth developing further.
- You want to avoid dependence on a single vendor or an ageing technology.
- An application in your infrastructure has outages or behaves unusually and the cause is not obvious.
What we offer
- Consulting and analysis. Feasibility assessments, solution and architecture design, guidance on standards (NDK, MARC 21, MODS, METS, ALTO) and on where the field is heading.
- Rapid prototypes. With modern tools, including AI, we can turn an idea into a working interface in a short time. You will see whether the direction makes sense before investing in a production solution.
- Architecture without vendor lock-in. We design modular solutions with replaceable components that can be changed as needs and technologies evolve.
- Training and workshops tailored to your team and tools.
- Long-term technical support and further development of deployed solutions.
How we handle operational issues
The cause of an outage does not have to be in the application itself — it may be related to the network, database, server, certificate, firewall or permissions. We therefore gradually localize the problem across the application and the infrastructure.
Where part of the environment is managed by your administrators, we coordinate the diagnostics with them and hand over specific tests and log requests, not a generic “everything is fine on our side”. Once operation is restored, we look for the real cause and propose measures to prevent the problem from recurring.
What you get
- Decisions backed by experience from library practice and software development.
- A validated idea before you commit a budget to it.
- A technology partner who does not disappear after handover and works with your internal administrators.
Transferable to: memory institutions, public administration and corporate environments.
