Web presentations of content and collections

We create web presentations that capture the character of the content — collections and archives as well as corporate and product collections. With an emphasis on functionality, clarity and visual appeal, so that they engage both experts and the public.

A valuable collection deserves more than a line in a catalog. We design presentations that capture its character and let the detail stand out — for experts and the public alike.

What institutions come to us with

  • The collection is digitized, but it gets lost in the generic interface of the digital library and nobody discovers it.
  • The content needs a specific way of sorting — by region, location, period, author or theme.
  • Researchers need to study the originals in detail, but handling them is risky.
  • The institution needs a clear catalog of its own items, for example for loans or reservations.

How we work

  1. We understand the collection and its audience. What is unique about the content, who will use it and how people naturally search in it.
  2. We design the way of discovery. Thematic sorting, filters, a map interface or time layers — whatever suits the collection.
  3. We build the presentation on top of your data. The data stays in the repository, typically Kramerius, and the presentation draws from it. Nothing is copied by hand and the content never diverges.
  4. We find the right degree of “tailor-made”. For a closed collection, the solution can be highly specialized. For a collection that keeps growing, we build it so that it can be extended with more items and sub-collections.

What you get

  • Visual detail — high-resolution viewing with deep zoom.
  • Context and connections — discovery by location, theme and time, georeferenced collections, comparison of time layers.
  • Safety of the originals — expert research without physical handling.
  • A presentation that engages — while remaining clear and accessible.

Where it already works

The Moll Collection makes accessible a unique set of maps and vedute that has been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World programme since 2023. Users browse it by region or with geographic search. For the Moravian Library we also created a presentation of its graphic collections, for JAMU the Theatre Fundus application for searching and borrowing costumes, props and equipment, and for the National Film Archive the cataloging and research tool Filmodel.

Transferable to: corporate and product collections, digital exhibitions and specialist catalogs.
